Dominant Dobey Rules Night 11 In Rotterdam Darts Showdown Premier League 2025

Chris Dobey Delivers Dazzling Hat-Trick to Seal First Premier League Victory of 2025 in Rotterdam

Chris Dobey delivered a trio of outstanding performances to secure his first nightly win of this year’s BetMGM Premier League on Thursday in Rotterdam.

Dobey overcame Luke Humphries, Nathan Aspinall, and Stephen Bunting to claim the Night 11 crown at Rotterdam Ahoy, capping the evening with a dominant 6-2 victory over Bunting in the final.

The Bedlington ace posted three consecutive ton-plus averages across the night and earned five vital league points, bringing him within just three points of the Play-Off spots.

“It feels fantastic to be back in the winner’s circle, ” said Dobey, who had previously reached the Night One final in Belfast.
“I always believed I could do it. It’s all about delivering when it matters, and tonight I managed three top performances to get myself back in contention.
“I’m a fighter. I’ve worked hard to return to this level, and I’m here to win.
“I truly believe I can still make the top four. I’ve shown what I’m capable of tonight, and if I keep playing like this, I’ve got a real shot.”

Dobey began his night with an impressive 6-3 win over world number one Luke Humphries, averaging 100 and firing in six 180s to lay down an early marker.

The former Masters champion maintained his high standard in the semi-finals, averaging over 100 once again in a comprehensive 6-2 win over Nathan Aspinall.

Facing Bunting in the final—both players sat in the bottom two of the table at the start of the night—Dobey delivered another commanding display.
Although Bunting struck first with a 13-darter, Dobey surged ahead with a four-leg burst and sealed victory with a 101.84 average and an impressive 67% checkout rate.

He becomes the sixth different player to win a night in this year’s Premier League campaign and moves above Rob Cross into sixth place in the table.

Bunting, meanwhile, continued his recent resurgence with a strong showing in the Netherlands. He edged past Michael van Gerwen and Luke Littler in back-to-back last-leg deciders to reach his second final in three weeks.

The 40-year-old ousted home favorite Van Gerwen in a tense quarter-final clash, then averaged 106.43 to fend off a late surge from Littler in the semis.

Earlier, Littler had battled Rob Cross in a thrilling opening match, sealing victory with a brilliant 145 checkout in the decider—despite Cross averaging a superb 110.

Elsewhere, Aspinall climbed to third in the standings with a 6-3 win over Gerwyn Price in the quarter-finals, though his hopes of consecutive nightly wins were dashed by Dobey’s inspired performance.

Nathan Aspinall Staged A Sensational Comeback Premier League Darts In Manchester 2025

Nathan Aspinall staged a sensational comeback to edge past Luke Humphries and claim the Night Ten title on a gripping night of BetMGM Premier League darts in Manchester.

The Stockport-born star delivered a night to remember in front of his home crowd, defeating Rob Cross, Michael van Gerwen, and ultimately Humphries to secure his first nightly victory of the season.

In a dramatic finale at the AO Arena, Aspinall battled back from 3-0 down to beat world number one Humphries, winning six of the final seven legs to climb into the Play-Off spots.

“I’ve never felt nerves like that before – those last darts were terrifying because I was in Manchester, ” Aspinall admitted, after eventually sealing a 6-4 win despite missing five match darts.

“With my family, friends, and so many fans here backing me, I’m just over the moon to get the win for them.

"This is a huge moment for me – a win like this in my hometown gives me so much confidence going forward.

“When I’m feeling confident and scoring heavily, there aren’t many players who can stop me.

“These last couple of years have been incredibly tough, but I’m a fighter. I never give in, and I’m grateful every day to do the job I love.”

Aspinall began the night in dominant fashion, producing a perfect six-from-six on doubles to beat Rob Cross and notch his eighth consecutive win over the 2018 World Champion.

He then maintained his momentum with a ton-plus average to cruise past Van Gerwen 6-2 in the semi-finals. The Dutchman had earlier returned from injury with a gritty 6-4 win over Chris Dobey.

Humphries, meanwhile, narrowly missed out on a third nightly win despite making history with his quarter-final performance – a dazzling 118.43 average in a 6-1 thrashing of Stephen Bunting, the third-highest in Premier League history and sixth-highest ever in a televised PDC event.

The world number one followed that up by beating Luke Littler 6-4 in the semis, cutting the teenager’s lead at the top of the table to five points.

Earlier, Littler snapped a six-match losing streak against Gerwyn Price in a dramatic quarter-final clash. Despite Price hitting a perfect nine-darter and averaging 103.47, Littler came out on top 6-3.

Price became the fourth player this season to hit perfection, joining Littler, Cross, and Humphries in achieving the feat.

Littler Claims First Premier League Victory Of 2025 Season With Thrilling Win Over Humphries

Littler Claims First Premier League Victory of 2025 Season with Thrilling Win Over Humphries

Luke Littler secured his first nightly triumph of the 2025 BetMGM Premier League season, edging out Luke Humphries in a deciding-leg thriller in Glasgow’s Night Two final.

The reigning Premier League champion staged a remarkable comeback at the OVO Hydro, rallying from 5-4 down to deny Humphries a second consecutive nightly win at the start of the campaign.

Littler had fallen to an inspired Michael van Gerwen on Night One in Belfast, despite posting an astonishing 113.91 average—the second-highest losing average in Premier League history.

However, the teenage sensation bounced back in emphatic fashion on Scottish soil, overcoming three World Champions—Rob Cross, Van Gerwen, and Humphries—to secure a crucial five-point haul.

The 18-year-old appeared on the brink of another early exit after trailing Cross 5-1 in his opening match, but he launched a sensational fightback, reeling off five straight legs to seal victory. Littler survived three match darts and averaged 104 to earn his first points of the season.

In the semi-finals, the World Champion delivered a commanding 6-2 win over Van Gerwen, avenging his Night One defeat with another 104 average.

This set up a blockbuster final against Humphries, a showdown between the world’s top two players. Littler made an early statement with a superb 170 checkout in leg three.

Following eight consecutive holds of throw, Humphries secured a crucial break to move within a leg of victory. But Littler responded in style, producing stunning 11- and 13-dart legs to seal a dramatic win.

“It was a strange game—neither of us were at our best, ” Littler admitted, maintaining his unbeaten Premier League record against Humphries.

“I hit a ten-darter and an 11-darter at the right time, and that made the difference.

“When I was 5-1 down against Rob, I had to dig deep, and thankfully I managed to turn it around! After that comeback, my confidence soared.”

Humphries, who had made back-to-back nightly finals, saw his perfect start to the season halted. Earlier in the night, he fought back from 4-2 down against both Chris Dobey and Gerwyn Price, averaging 106 and 102 respectively.

Price opened his Premier League account with a hard-fought 6-4 victory over Nathan Aspinall, featuring three ton-plus finishes.

Van Gerwen, meanwhile, delivered the standout performance of the evening, averaging 109.16 in a dominant 6-1 quarter-final win over Stephen Bunting.

The BetMGM Premier League resumes on Thursday, February 20, in Dublin, where Littler faces 2023 runner-up Price at the 3Arena.

Elsewhere, Humphries takes on Bunting in the opening match, Van Gerwen meets Dobey, while Cross and Aspinall battle for a semi-final spot on Night Three.
